I have had a very difficult time and have really been grieving the fact that due to our move I have not been able to find a school like Zion. We were so blessed to be a part of such an intimate community where I felt like my daughter's learning style was nurtured and developed because of Jenna's teaching style. We loved the school community and that every time my daughter was dropped off and picked up she had friends of all ages caring for her, playing with her, and saying hello and good bye to her. She remembers all of her friends from Zion and talks about them to this day. Zion was such a precious place to us and had we not moved we would have continued to have our daughter learn and grow and thrive there in that awesome school.
We miss you guys so much and know there will always be a special place in my heart for Zion!
I have searched high and low for a place that is similar to Zion and there just isn't. It's a gem!
An amazing school! I can't imagine a better school with more dedicated teachers than Zion! These guys are truly blessed!
I love the family atmosphere of Zion. People are interested in each other’s’ lives--both the good times and the not so good.
Zion holds a special place in my heart. I always try to spread the word about Zion whenever possible. A few years ago, I told a new family, who had just moved into town, about Zion. They checked it out, and feel in love with it, just like I did. It's a wonderful place.
Zion is a place for families to belong, work together and to grow together. I love to see the families support each other and help out whenever and where ever. I see it in the way our students and young people interact with each other, they watch out for the young ones and help the older congregation members with setting up, taking down and pitch in with all the jobs at the big events like soup and pie. I love how the congregation supports the education of our youngest members and how, when there is a big job to do, everyone just shows up. This is a place where families, young and old, can truly "belong" as members of the family of Christ.
My favorite thing about Zion is all the support that parents and the congregation give to the school, and how much the school has a family atmosphere.
I am thankful I had the opportunity to attend Zion Lutheran Elementary School. Since most of my classmates attended school with me every year, I formed friendships which are still with me today. My most important friendship is with my Savior Jesus, who I learned about every day at Zion. I decided I too wanted to teach about Jesus in a Lutheran School and have been privileged to do that, and I am still doing it!
I love the family feel of Zion. Every child is known by name by all the staff and their peers. I love how the older children “take care” of the younger children by pushing them on the swings or including them in their games. When a child walks through our doors, they know that they belong here and will always be a part of our Zion family.
I remember when I was first married and joined my husbands church, I knew nothing about Zion or church schools. What a blessing it became as my children began their 10 year education (PK-8th grade) journey through the halls of Zion. It became their home away from home. I would advise parents to give the school a try. It is built up on a hill. You can see the steeple from miles away. It has the best sledding hill in the county. Come check us out. You will not regret it.
